• What You Are About To Read

I love to study the scriptures and to teach the truth that is contained in them. I share these teachings because I love the Blessed Trinity and the Church He has founded. I also share them because I want to love my neighbor as I love myself. Therefore, I gladly share these things with you my brothers and sisters. God's blessings to all of you!
  • The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
  • The Our Father

Our Father, which art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done, in earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; But deliver us from evil. Amen.
  • The Divine Praises

Blessed be God. Blessed be His Holy Name. Blessed be Jesus Christ, true God and true Man. Blessed be the Name of Jesus. Blessed be His Most Sacred Heart. Blessed be His Most Precious Blood. Blessed be Jesus in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar. Blessed be the Holy Spirit, the Paraclete. Blessed be the great Mother of God, Mary most Holy. Blessed be her Holy and Immaculate Conception. Blessed be her Glorious Assumption. Blessed be the Name of Mary, Virgin and Mother. Blessed be St. Joseph, her most chaste spouse. Blessed be God in His Angels and in His Saints.
  • Daily Prayer To The Holy Spirit

Creator Spirit, come and visit the souls that are Yours: fill with heavenly grace the hearts that You created. You are called by the names of Paraclete, gift of God most high, spring of life, fire, love and the soul's anointing. Seven gifts are Yours to give. You are the finger of the Father's right hand. You, the clear promise of the Father, give men's tongues the grace of speech. Kindle a light in our minds, pour love into our hearts and uphold with Your unfailing strength the frailty of our human nature. Drive our enemy far from us and give us always the gift of peace; so may it be that, with Your grace ever guiding us in this way, we may avoid all that is sinful. Grant that through You we may know the Father and the Son, and may we ever believe You to be the Spirit of both the Father and the Son. Glory be to God the Father, and to the Son, who rose from the dead, and to the Paraclete for ever and ever. Amen.
  • Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Songs for my family

She isn’t even born (as she grows)

Oh I wonder what she’s doing at this very moment, in her tiny little world? And I wonder what she’s thinking, at this very moment, if she knows she’s Daddy’s little girl?

                                         Chorus:

Well, she isn’t even born and she’s already changed my life and I doubt that she even knows, that the love that I’m feeling will be a special part, of my daughter’s life as she grows….. as she grows.

Oh, I wonder if she loves me, at this very moment, I wonder if she even understands? And I wonder if she feels the same way that I feel, when I hold her Mother’s hand?

                                         (Repeat Chorus)

Oh I wonder what she’d say, at this very moment, if she could understand this song? Oh your Daddy loves you little Dylan Taylor, and I’ll see you ‘fore to long.

                                          (Repeat Chorus)

                                         A Prayer For Our Child

I wrote this next song, for our children’s baby dedication service. Baptist, do not practice infant baptism, but the ceremony is basically the same except for the baptism part. I played and sang it at all three ceremonies.

                                        A Prayer for Our Child

Oh God, please bless our child, as she/he comes into this world. May she/he feel the love from us, as the days unfurl. Oh God please bless our child, as she/he grows before our eyes. May she/he learn to tell the truth and never tell a lie.

                                        Chorus:

And may we raise her/him up, in the way that she/he should go. So she/he will not depart from it as she/he is growing old.

Oh God, please bless our child, may she/he grow up to be strong. May she/he learn to do what’s right and not to do what’s wrong. And God, please bless our child, may she/he learn to love. And to give of herself/himself instead of giving up.

                                        (Repeat Chorus)

Oh God, please bless our child, in the choices she/he will make. May she/he ask Your guidance, in every step she/he takes. Oh God, please bless our child, may she/he come to know Your Son. And may she/he understand, why You’ve done the things You’ve done.

                                         (Repeat Chorus)

Oh God, please bless our child, and her/his parents, too. May we grow together, as a family unto You.

                                         New Chorus:

And may You raise us up, in the way that we should go. So we will not depart from it, as we are growing old.

                                                     Jacob’s Heart

This is a song I wrote in memory of our first child. The child my wife and I chose to abort.

This song is a prayer, a confession and a love letter to our son, Jacob. I sang it at his memorial service.

How can I remember, who I’ve never known.

How can I see someone, if He can’t be shown.

Oh, Lord, show me Jacob’s heart.

How can I hear someone, that has never talked.

How can I walk with one, who has never walked.

Oh, Lord, show me Jacob’s heart.

Let me hear the beat, that I never heard.

let me hold his hand, hear his first word.

Don’t want to think about, how I made him cry.

Don’t want him to ever ask me,” Why?”

Oh, Lord, show me Jacob’s Heart.

How do I say I’m sorry, for doing what I’ve done

for taking the life, of my first born son.

Oh, Lord, show me Jacob’s heart.

“Forgive them Father,

they know not what they do”,

I know that this, was Jacob’s prayer too .

Oh, Lord, show me Jacob’s Heart.

Let me hear the sound, of laughing in my ears,

the playing of the games, the drying of the tears

I don’t want to remember, turning him away

I don’t want to forget, what I long to hear him say.

Oh, Lord, show me Jacob’s heart.

                                       You Surpass Them All

This song was written for my wife on Mother’s day 1999.

1) In the silence of the night, when the child cries out with fright, it is to their delight, that you hear their call.

                                     Refrain:

Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.

2) Oh the beauty of your face, and the warmth of your embrace, no treasure could replace, with you I am enthralled.

                                      (Repeat Refrain)

                                        Chorus:

No one can love the way you love, you give yourself away. You’ve given more to this family than we could ever repay.

3) You’re built on rock, your foundation’s sound, the storms of life don’t knock you down, you’re my anchor, my solid ground, steady as a wall.

                                     (Repeat Refrain)

4) I hope that I can be for you, all that you need me to, so I can prove my love for you, is true to the call.

                                      ( Repeat Refrain)  (Repeat Chorus)

5) So sleep my love and dream your dreams, and in the morning when it seems, that we don’t know how much you mean, I hope you will recall….

Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all. (Pro. 31: 29)  (NIV)
