• What You Are About To Read

I love to study the scriptures and to teach the truth that is contained in them. I share these teachings because I love the Blessed Trinity and the Church He has founded. I also share them because I want to love my neighbor as I love myself. Therefore, I gladly share these things with you my brothers and sisters. God's blessings to all of you!
  • The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
  • The Our Father

Our Father, which art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done, in earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; But deliver us from evil. Amen.
  • The Divine Praises

Blessed be God. Blessed be His Holy Name. Blessed be Jesus Christ, true God and true Man. Blessed be the Name of Jesus. Blessed be His Most Sacred Heart. Blessed be His Most Precious Blood. Blessed be Jesus in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar. Blessed be the Holy Spirit, the Paraclete. Blessed be the great Mother of God, Mary most Holy. Blessed be her Holy and Immaculate Conception. Blessed be her Glorious Assumption. Blessed be the Name of Mary, Virgin and Mother. Blessed be St. Joseph, her most chaste spouse. Blessed be God in His Angels and in His Saints.
  • Daily Prayer To The Holy Spirit

Creator Spirit, come and visit the souls that are Yours: fill with heavenly grace the hearts that You created. You are called by the names of Paraclete, gift of God most high, spring of life, fire, love and the soul's anointing. Seven gifts are Yours to give. You are the finger of the Father's right hand. You, the clear promise of the Father, give men's tongues the grace of speech. Kindle a light in our minds, pour love into our hearts and uphold with Your unfailing strength the frailty of our human nature. Drive our enemy far from us and give us always the gift of peace; so may it be that, with Your grace ever guiding us in this way, we may avoid all that is sinful. Grant that through You we may know the Father and the Son, and may we ever believe You to be the Spirit of both the Father and the Son. Glory be to God the Father, and to the Son, who rose from the dead, and to the Paraclete for ever and ever. Amen.
  • Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

My Future Hope In Christ

About 5 or 6 years ago, the praise band that Deanna and I were a part of, lead the worship service one Sunday night. In between songs, each member was given a time of testimony.
The theme was “Our hope in Christ”, I was asked (before the service) if I would speak about “My future hope in Christ”.
Revelation 21:4 was the one I was ending with, and as I read it, my voice started cracking, and my eyes started tearing up. It was like I wasn’t reading it, but like I was experiencing it.
Ever since that day, I’ve been more and more anticipating Jesus’ return. Amen, come Lord Jesus!

Here it is:

My future hope in Christ begins each day, anew.

Without Christ in my life, and the hope and peace He brings, looking at the world, our local and national news and seeing the death, violence, hatred and total disregard for fellow human beings…why would I want to continue? Why should I?

But, with Christ in my life, I continue on. Knowing that life is but a vapor, it’s here and then it disappears. Not only that, but I have also received power, the power of the Holy Spirit, to be a light in a dark world. To show my hope to others who are hopeless.

I Peter 3:15 says, “but set apart Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence.” Being ready; to share the hope.

How do I get ready? First, study God’s word,”heaven and earth will pass away, but the word of the Lord endures forever.” Second, Pray! Pray without ceasing! Third, follow Jesus’ example- witness, but don’t stop there- make disciples, teach new believers how to become established in the faith.

Gravatar “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Rev.21:4

This is my hope, firmly rooted in the word of God. Riches won’t last, glory fades away and people disappoint us. Speaking as a Christian, a husband, father, Sunday School teacher, deacon and employee… I’m just a person…and I will fail you and have failed you. And I ask for your forgiveness and your prayers as I seek to serve you and my Lord Jesus better.

Put your hope in Him, trust what He says for He is faithful and true.
