With so many parallels to the Passion of Christ (suffering, death and Resurrection) no wonder this song was instantly my favorite!
Here’s how I see it:
Verse 1 : The song starts out ” in the mystic garden” (Gethsemane) at night; it ends “in the garden” in the daytime with someone ( Mary Magdala) asking about the gardener, [...]
