• What You Are About To Read

I love to study the scriptures and to teach the truth that is contained in them. I share these teachings because I love the Blessed Trinity and the Church He has founded. I also share them because I want to love my neighbor as I love myself. Therefore, I gladly share these things with you my brothers and sisters. God's blessings to all of you!
  • The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
  • The Our Father

Our Father, which art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done, in earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; But deliver us from evil. Amen.
  • The Divine Praises

Blessed be God. Blessed be His Holy Name. Blessed be Jesus Christ, true God and true Man. Blessed be the Name of Jesus. Blessed be His Most Sacred Heart. Blessed be His Most Precious Blood. Blessed be Jesus in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar. Blessed be the Holy Spirit, the Paraclete. Blessed be the great Mother of God, Mary most Holy. Blessed be her Holy and Immaculate Conception. Blessed be her Glorious Assumption. Blessed be the Name of Mary, Virgin and Mother. Blessed be St. Joseph, her most chaste spouse. Blessed be God in His Angels and in His Saints.
  • Daily Prayer To The Holy Spirit

Creator Spirit, come and visit the souls that are Yours: fill with heavenly grace the hearts that You created. You are called by the names of Paraclete, gift of God most high, spring of life, fire, love and the soul's anointing. Seven gifts are Yours to give. You are the finger of the Father's right hand. You, the clear promise of the Father, give men's tongues the grace of speech. Kindle a light in our minds, pour love into our hearts and uphold with Your unfailing strength the frailty of our human nature. Drive our enemy far from us and give us always the gift of peace; so may it be that, with Your grace ever guiding us in this way, we may avoid all that is sinful. Grant that through You we may know the Father and the Son, and may we ever believe You to be the Spirit of both the Father and the Son. Glory be to God the Father, and to the Son, who rose from the dead, and to the Paraclete for ever and ever. Amen.
  • Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

About

confirmation-2006.jpgPicture:(L to R) Tim, Dylan, Deanna, Fr. Tokarz, Samantha and Zack.

Hey! Thanks for visiting my blog. It’s great to get to share the good news and life changing message of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I wanted to do things a little different. I love studying the scriptures, and teaching them at church and home. Isn’t that where discipleship starts anyway, home? I thought I’d give this a try, Internet-discipleship.

God really impressed on my heart to take discipleship seriously, for I was not discipled as a young Christian. I wasted 10 years of my Christian life before the Lord called me back to himself (or at least 10 years before I listened). My wife and I were brought up in the Southern Baptist tradition.

Over the last 18 years, through the study of the scriptures, history, early church history, prayer and the leadership of the Holy Spirit, I found myself being drawn to the Catholic Church. My family and I were confirmed at Easter Vigil (that’s what the picture is) 4/15/2006.What a change this has been for everyone, but a great one. What a feeling to be in the center of God’s will! In His, One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church!

Be sure to read my conversion story Looking for Home. Be sure to read my wife’s conversion story as well, starting here.

As a Catholic layman, I will teach biblical truth through a word on The Word, and I hope that these studies will lead you to the center of God’s will.

May the Lord bless you and keep you, and His face shine upon you.

  15. Good morning Tim, thanks for your comments on my blog this morning…God has his ways doesn’t he…I grew up a spiritually dead Lutheran (not that there are lots of believers in that tradition, because there are… but I “jumped the fence” and joined the Catholic church when I decided to marry my wife. While there, I was converted while reading The Secret of the happy Christian life”…long story short, we’re now part of a house church…been a believer long enough to know it is God’s business how we draws men to himself…Just glad he drew me. nice to meet you. DM

  16. DM,
That’s great…and kind of ironic. My wife and I started in a church that did the “home group” thing and we really liked it. It helped us to really bring our faith home…so to speak.

Yes, God does work in His own way and in His own time.

It’s nice to meet you as well.

  17. Tim,
Proud to have you as my cousin. I love you and your family very much. God is love and Love never fails.
“By this shall all men know ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” John 13:35
I wish you all of God’s best now and always.

  18. Mike,
The feeling is mutual my dear cousin! I’m glad you dropped by! You and I have been on a couple of amazing faith journeys since we last saw each other!
I hope we can catch up soon. Give the whole family a BIG hug and kiss from all of us.
    I’ll talk to you soon.

  19. Tim,

Thanks for your comment on my blog. I’m glad you enjoyed what I had to say.

  20. Thanks for your comment(s) on my blog…it’s not always easy reflecting during this Lenten season, but we press on with His help. Thanks again…I haven’t gotten to all of your conversion story yet, but what I have read sounds like quite the story. Thank God you are where you are.

  21. Thanks Bryan. Lent does have it’s challenges, but as you say, “we press on with His help.”

    Amen.

  23. Well, my name isn’t Bryan but Tim will check out your post. :)

    Thanks for the visit!

  24. Tim, I’m not sure how I came across your site, but this is really great. I actually found the “Thoughts from my Grandmother”. It has made me cry (again). I hope you, Deanna, and the kids are doing well. I love the fact that Devin and Dylan are talking/texting and getting to know one another. Since Barry and I are both only kids, that doesn’t give my two the “cousin connection” I always had. Take care. Love Cindy

  25. It’s great to hear from you Cindy! Yes, we are all doing well. I think it’s great the kids are connecting too. Ya’ll come see us in Iowa!

    Blessings to the family.

  26. This is great site you have here. I would like to add it to my blog list on my http://www.getin2itnowchristians.blogspot.com site. If that is ok with you? If I can just let me know on that site.
    Thank you,
    Darren K

  27. Sure thing Darren K!

    Thanks!
